To not make this page look too boring I decided to show some really old stuff of mine (some of which I posted here also, but also some newer ones). Some are really strange, some are really pubertal. :D (I was like 14, 16 or whatever) Kinda reflects my messy thoughts back then. There are also some studies from art class. It is not necessary to draw every detail, it is not necessary to have a smooth line or to color in every corner of the picture. In fact, it is nothing more than a complete waste of time. Say what you want to say, and say it precisely - without having all the unnecessary things around that only weaken the message, the whole purpose why you want to draw the picture at all! Who cares about details? They often don't add, rather than subtract from the power, make it diffuse and unclear. And then you sit there, while hours run by and nothing is archieved! Seit gestern habe ich einen Blog: www.illusophie.de (der Name ist eine Kombination aus »Illustration« und »Philosophie«, nur so am Rande ;) ) Er wird mich fortan auf meinem Weg in die Illustration begleiten und mich zu meiner Mappe für mein Illustrationstudium motivieren. Insofern gibt es hier laufend irgendwelche Skizzen, Studien, Projekte und Mappenarbeiten von mir zu sehen. Gerne aber auch mal Features von interessanten Illustratoren und Künstlern.
